Lifetime of dedication

The Bionics Institute congratulates Adjunct Professor Jim Patrick AO FTSE on receiving an ATSE Clunies Ross Lifetime Achievement Award. As one of the original engineers who pioneered the development of Australia’s multichannel cochlear implant, this prestigious award honours his dedication to the creation and commercialisation of a device that has changed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people world-wide. ATSE media release and video.

The Clunies Ross award is given to a select group of innovators in recognition of their outstanding application of science and technology that provides economic, social and/or environmental benefit to Australia.
