Overview
Building on the world-class capabilities of the team behind bionic hearing, the Bionics Institute is currently exploring implant devices that monitor neural activity in the brain, spinal cord, or elsewhere in the body, and/or stimulate nerves electrically for therapeutic applications.
Our focus is grounded in real-world applications to alleviate relatively common disorders like;
- epilepsy
- certain severe psychiatric conditions such as obsessive compulsive disorder
- movement disorders including Essential Tremor
- urinary incontinence
