Music inspired by cochlear implant users
The liberating effect the cochlear implant users describe through being recorded is exposed as they sing and explore their vocality.
James Hullick incorporates these interviews, songs and sounds into a musical piece and captures the emotion of the participants.
This unique piece – Threshold – will stir the emotions of all.
It is a component of his PART 3 REPERTOIRE and created for people with and without cochlear implants.
Threshold has been created in dialogue with the Bionics Institute and cochlear implant users.
Where: Footscray Community Arts Centre
