Today is World Epilepsy Day also known as ‘Purple Day’.
Purple Day is designed to help raise awareness about Epilepsy and to let those who are impacted by this condition feel supported.
At the Bionics Institute, we are working on a device that is designed to accurately monitor brain activity and detect a patient’s seizures outside a hospital environment. This will allow a patient to go about their daily lives and importantly will provide clinicians with an accurate record of seizures so that a diagnosis can be better tailored to individuals.
