Conrad Glissman-Gough Over 8,000 Australian babies and young children under the age of five have permanent hearing loss, which can severely impair language development with life-long impact on their education, social and mental health and employment opportunities.

The Bionics Institute have developed an innovative clinical system called EarGenie™ which uses a non-invasive method of mapping brain activity which will provide physicians with the ability to conduct accurate, detailed and individualised neonatal hearing assessments.
